Will SV or SRMV ever allow combining multiple clips?

A question came up during an in-person training at University of Victoria in June 2023 regarding the ability to string multiple custom clips in SV or SRMV together into a single video.
Response from Rachael LeBlond:
“I took this idea to the dev team for advice, and unfortunately this would be an extremely complex feature to implement, and it would impact the performance of the website massively, so I don’t think we will be going ahead with it in the near future.”
